PET SHOP KILLING: Ossett man charged with murdering pensioner 22 years ago
An Ossett man has been charged with murdering a pensioner 22 years ago.
Stuart Jenkins, 39, is expected to appear in court in Northampton on Thursday.
He is charged with killing Arthur Brunhill in 1993.
Mr Brumhill died on January 22, 1993, his body was found in the basement of Denton’s Pet and Garden Store in Wellingborough Road, Northampton.
Detective Inspector Louise Hemingway said: “We are pleased to be able to confirm that 22 years after Arthur’s death we have today been able to charge someone with his murder.
“This followed a review of the case and a re-examination of evidence recovered from the scene using up to date forensic techniques.”
