Police release image of man wanted in connection with sexual assault on Wakefield train

British Transport Police have released a CCTV image after a report of a sexual assault on a train travelling between Wakefield Westgate and Bolton on Dearne, South Yorkshire.

The incident happened on Saturday, January 11 between 1pm and 1.20pm.

A man sat next to another man and is reported to have then touched the victim’s leg and rubbed his thigh.

The suspect is reported to have left the train at Bolton on Dearne station.

Police are wanting to speak to this man in connection with the assault.

Officers would like to speak to the man in the image who may have information that could help their investigation.
