Police are continuing to search for an elderly man who went missing four days ago.

George King, 89, was last seen on Friday on Agbrigg Road at 2.23pm.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Mr King’s welfare as he requires medication for a heart complaint.

His family reported him missing on Friday after he failed to return to his home on Peacock Avenue after he visited the city centre to buy his wife a birthday present.

Mr King is around 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build and has grey thinning hair.

He was wearing a white flat cap, a short-sleeved blue checked shirt, blue trousers and white trainers when he was last seen.

He uses a red mobility scooter.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
