Wakefield man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after stabbing in Castleford

A 42-year-old man from Wakefield was taken to hospital suffering from a serious injures.

after police were called to Fulmar Road at 8.23am on Sunday.

Det Chief Insp Nick Wallen, said: “A 47-year-old man, also from the Wakefield area, was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of attempted murder. He currently remains in custody.

“We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

“We are in the early stages of investigating this serious assault and would ask anyone with information to contact police.”
