ACROBATIC dogs, cheerleaders and karate kids all helped celebrate this year’s Walton Gala.
Hundreds of people got in to the party spirit with games and activities in and around Walton Sports and Social Club on Shay Lane.
Old fashion donkey rides proved just as popular as go-karting.
And canines from The Tail Waggers dog display team showed off their skills, while youngsters from Westgate Cheerleaders entertained families.
Organiser Cherie Proctor said: “The dog display team proved popular and members of the public were invited to have a go.
“The atmosphere was very good and everyone seemed to have a smile on their face.
“We had the sun, which we are not used to seeing, so that helped. To say we had to rearrange how we set it up due to the ground conditions, everything went really well.
“We look forward to making it even bigger and better next year.”
The fourth annual event also included stalls, which sold a wide range of items, including arts and craft, to support the village.
Money raised throughout the day went to the sports and social club to help with future events and the upkeep of the grounds.
