Drugs and cash seized by police

CASH, cannabis and drug growing equipment were seized from a house by police.

Officers found more than £3,000, a small amount of the class B drug and tools used for cultivating cannabis at a house on the Lakeside estate in Ryhill.

They raided the property on Monday night after neighbours reported a suspicious smell.

A 42-year-old admitted producing the drugs and a 20-year-old man admitted possession of class B drugs.

Both men were issued with cautions.

An investigation by the Proceeds of Crime team into the cash seized is still on-going.
