A MAN died after being stabbed in an Eastmoor flat, an inquest was told.
Detectives launched a murder enquiry after finding Lithuanian Linas Kvedaras, 29, of Pinderfields Heath, suffering from knife wounds.
Police were called to a flat in Marsland Avenue, Eastmoor, on Friday, May 18, just after 7am.
They found Mr Kvedaras with stab wounds.
He was taken to Pinderfields Hospital where he later died.
On Wednesday coroner David Hinchliff opened an inquest into his death in Leeds.
Det Chief Insp Jonathan Morgan, of West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, attended the short hearing.
No provisional cause of death was given.
The inquest was adjourned pending further enquiries.
A 33-year-old man, Tomas Riauka, of Marsland Avenue, has been charged with the murder of Mr Kvedaras.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Leeds Crown Court later this year to enter a plea.
A 23-year-old woman who was arrested in connection with the incident in May was released on bail pending further inquiries.
