Enjoy outdoor family fun at Nostell Priory

Families can spring into action with a new programme of activities at Nostell Priory over the next few months.

The venue is offering a range of opportunities to enjoy the changing seasons, from den building and bat walks to pond dipping and a garden party for the Queen’s birthday.

On Saturday, May 21, families will be able to explore the museum at night as part of a national festival. There will be family crafts and a bat walk from 9pm to 10.30pm. The event costs £5 for adults and £3 for children and places must be booked in advance on 01924 863892.

There will also be daily activities running from 11am to 3pm every day through the half-term holiday. Children can build a raft using bark and leaves on Monday, discover what lies beneath the surface of the Middle Lake on Tuesday, and challenge their friends to a game of cricket or volleyball, play barefoot games and enjoy a cycle ride on Wednesday.

On Thursday, visitors can create their own kites and on Friday, there will be a chance to make some Royal-themed bunting to celebrate the Queen’s birthday.

Normal admission charges apply. Visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/nostell or call 01924 863892 for more details.
