Wakefield city centre pub sets date for reopening with a new outside drinking area

A Wakefield city centre pub that postponed its reopening date now will return next week with a new outdoor seating area.

Jolly Boys Tap on the corner of Northgate and Cross street was initially due to open on July 4, the first day that pubs were allowed to return.

It will now reopen Thursday, July 16.

The bar tweeted: “The reason for the delay is to organise our new outdoor drinking area for you all to enjoy. Sorry for an inconvenience- we can’t wait to see you all again."
