Wakefield eyesore building Chantry House set to be demolished this month

Work to pull down a derelict building in Wakefield city centre is set to begin in two weeks' time.

Plans are in place to build homes at the site of former council offices Chantry House on Kirkgate after demolition is done.

The Snooty Fox - an empty pub next the offices - is also set to be razed as part of regeneration plans for the city.

Preparations have already begun at the pub site.
