“Everyone, including the police, have done everything possible to try and find him.

“I only hope that one day he will turn up fit and well and if he is reading this or is with someone who is we just want to tell him that he is well loved, sorely missed and there is never a moment goes by without him being in our thoughts.”

Since Mr Judge, 69 was last seen, near to his home address on Esther Avenue, Lupset, on Monday April 15 at 12.30pm (where he was dropped of by taxi) officers have continued to search for clues about his disappearance.

And they have released a new photo of Kevin in the hope that it will help officers locate the pensioner.

Detective Inspector Viv Segerius-Allick of the Wakefield District Police Safeguarding Unit, said:

“I have spoken to Kevin’s family throughout the year and understand their suffering and hurt.

“Kevin has now been missing for a year but we continue to do all we can to find him. As long as he remains missing we will keep looking for him.

“We need people to help us. Did you see Kevin that day? Or have you seen him since? Hopefully the new photo of him and the CCTV stills from Wakefield city centre will help anyone out there who has that missing piece of information we need.

“All we want to do is reunite a dad and grandad with his family who miss him greatly.

“We know Kevin went into his house on the day he was last seen and that he then left the property later that day without his coat or distinctive trilby hat.

“He has not been seen since and his whereabouts remain a mystery. I am appealing directly to anyone with any information, no matter how big or small, to come forward and report it to us.”

Kevin is described as white, 5ft 7” tall, of slim build and with thinning mousey coloured hair worn in a slicked back style. He walks very slowly.

When last seen he had a substantial beard which significantly altered his appearance as he is normally clean shaven.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101.
