Fire crews stop bin fire spreading to flats
Firefighters had to stop a bin fire spreading to a block of flats.
Crews from Wakefield Fire Station were called to the blaze on Victoria Grove, Lupset, at around 12.50am on Thursday.
A fire service spokesman said five communal bins were alight when crews arrived but they managed to put the blaze out before it spread to nearby properties.
He said no-one was injured in the incident and an investigation into the cause of the fire was underway.
