Five hurt in head-on smash in South Kirkby
Five people were hospitalised after a head-on collision in South Kirkby today (Saturday).
One man was air-lifted to hospital by helicopter after being cut free following the crash on Broad Lane at 4.50pm.
The other four were taken to hospital by ambulance.
Crews from Featherstone and Castleford attended the accident scene together with paramedics and police.

Hide AdCrew commander Adam Smith, of Featherstone Fire Station, said: “We attended a two-car road traffic collision.
“There were three people in one vehicle and two in the other. It was a head-on collision.”
