Make do and mend toys session with a focus on the toys children played with during the Second World War from 11am until 12.30pm and from 1.30pm until 3pm at Wakefield Museum (children aged six to 12, booking needed).
Explore new parts of the house from 11am until 4pm at Nostell Priory.
Upstairs downstairs tour from 2pm until 3.30pm at Nostell Priory.
Red poppies and white butterflies First World War commemoration from 11am until 4pm at Nostell Priory.
Creative carving from 11am until 4pm at The Hepworth, Wakefield.
Miners’ home craft activities including rag rugging and peg dolls at the National Coal Mining Museum.
Creative workshops from 11am until 3pm at The Ridings, Wakefield.
Under fives’ story time from 2.15pm until 3pm at Horbury Library, from 10am until 11am at Wakefield Library and from 10.30am until 11am at Ossett Library.
Mythical maze stories and crafts from 2pm until 3.30pm at Normanton Library (children aged five to 11, booking needed) and from 10.30am until 12.30am at South Elmsall Library (children aged five to 11, booking needed).
Summer play scheme from 9.30am until 3.30pm every week day at SESKU Academy, Burntwood Community Centre, South Kirkby (children aged eight to 13).
Children’s corner with books, colouring, games, dressing up and the labyrinth from 9am until 4pm at Wakefield Cathedral.
Pet workshop at 2pm at Pets at Home Wakefield.
