Getting ready for village pram race
It is an Ackworth tradition that dates back to the 1970s.
And excitement is building in the village ahead of the annual Pram Race on August bank holiday weekend.
Teams are signing up for this year’s event on Sunday, August 27.
Dressed in colourful costumes, they will make their way through the village.
The event will raise funds for Pontefract’s Prince of Wales Hospice.
