Graffiti artists jetted in from the Netherlands to bring some creative style to a motorway underpass in Horbury.
Spel and Beyond, of the Dutch CVS crew, joined British crews TPN, BH Fam and WSK at a graffiti jam under the bridge, on Green Lane.
Renowned British artist Kak 1 and about 100 members of the public also turned up with ladders and spray cans.
It was the second event to take place at the previously dreary underpass, after an original event in March.
Street artists were asked to spray graffiti in a futuristic space theme, and the results look they were inspired by the Star Wars and Alien films.
Organiser Martin Hayhurst said: “It’s looking fantastic. The standard of the artists that came this time was just off the scale. There are a lot of things for the younger generations, including Star Wars characters.
“A lot of people say that graffiti is vandalism, but it’s a completely different story. It was great to get everybody involved and help people to develop an understanding of street art.”
Mr Hayhurst, of Newmillerdam, said he wanted to thank everybody who helped with the event, including Red Alert Clothing, the Wild Style Kings graffiti team and AlFresh.Co paint.
He said there would be another graffiti jam on Saturday, August 24 to finish off the project.
