Ossett Brewery will be serving up a day to remember at their annual open day in aid of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

The open day will have live entertainment provided by a fantastic line-up of bands, with live acts including Skinny Living and Lost Causes,

The event will also feature brewery tours, a barbecue, face painting and games.

It will also include a grand raffle with prizes including a helicopter ride for two over London and four VIP tickets for the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford.

Jason Costello, head of community fundraising at the children’s hospice, said: “We can’t wait for the family fun day.

“It’s a fantastic day with entertainment for children as well as mums, dads, aunties, uncles, grandmas and grandads alike.”

Last year’s open day raised £5,000 for Forget Me Not and the brewery hopes to exceed that total.

Bob Lawson, Founder and chairman of Ossett Brewery, said: “The annual open day allows us to give something back to the local community whilst raising money for a really good cause.

“We’ve our fingers crossed for a hot day which will help the atmosphere and hopefully mean we can exceed last year’s amount.”

The event takes place on Saturday, August 30 from 1pm to 7pm at Ossett Brewery, on Healey Road, Ossett. Parking is free.
