Green light for Castleford mill transformation
Castleford Heritage Trust has been granted full planning permission to transform the former mill which was occupied by Allinson’s.
The project, which is expected to be complete by 2017, will see the building converted into a centre which will include an art gallery, a cafe, craft classes, heritage centre and community space.

Wakefield Council granted permission for the transformation last week.
Alison Drake, chairwoman of the trust, said: “This is the final hurdle for us and we can make the developments and refurbishments that we have planned.
“We have also got grant applications in with a number of organisations which are currently waiting for.”
