Pharmacy opening times for Bank Holiday Monday have been announced by NHS bosses.
Boots, on Upper Kirkgate, will be open from 9am-5pm on Monday.
Sainsbury’s Pharmacy, at Trinity Walk, on Marsh Way, will be open from 9am-7pm.
Asda, on Asdale Road, will be open from 9am-6pm.
Exel Chemist, on High Street, Normanton, will be open from 10am-4pm.
People are advised to seek help from their pharmacist when GP practices are closed on Monday.
They are also advised to stock up on essential medicines including anti-diarrhoea medicine, sore throat remedies, cough remedies, plasters and bandages, antihistamines and antiseptic cream.
Kathryn Hilliam, head of primary care for NHS England West Yorkshire, said: “Your local pharmacy can help you with more than you might think.
“Pharmacists offer expert, confidential advice and treatment for many minor health problems.
“As most GP surgeries will be closed on Monday we would also encourage patients to order any medication they need in plenty of time so they have a good supply during the bank holiday.”
