An education scheme launched by district health bosses is making life easier for people with long-term conditions.
They are learning new skills improve their health as part of the Wakefield Expert Patients Programme.
The programme, set up by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, included six-courses run by health service volunteers in community venues around the district.
People who took part also featured in a serious of short films in which they tell how the programme improved their health.
Paul Barraclough took part in the programme after being diagnosed with type two diabetes and suffering from depression, and went on to help others by volunteering.
