A fun day took place at Hemsworth Rugby Club on Sunday, when a Hemsworth team took on an Air Ambulance Select team – including family and friends of Beth and the other women injured in the incident on April 26.

There was also an auction, a raffle and post-match entertainment from local singers, including Gemma James and David Tattersall.

The money raised will be split between the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Beth’s Angel Fund, which was created to support the women injured in the incident.

Bethany, 18, and many of the other women had close family ties to players at Hemsworth Rugby Club.

See this week’s Hemsworth and South Elmsall Express for the full story and pictures of the event.
