Holidaymakers face delays on way to Leeds Bradford Airport
Holidaymakers making their way to Leeds Bradford Airport face delays this afternoon (Friday) after a huge blaze at an air conditioning factory in Rawdon.
The A65 New Road Side is closed and traffic is queueing traffic in both directions between the B6152 Harrogate Road junction and the A6120 Broadway junction.
Homes and businesses in the area are being evacuated because of the fire which began at about 3pm, sending huge plumes of smoke into the sky visible across Leeds.
Ten fire pumps are currently at the scene and a spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service said it was “a very large job.”
