Hundreds of jobs on way with new out-of-town retail park?

Developer Kier Property Developments is seeking full planning permission for an Aldi supermarket, a frozen food store, four shops, a drive-through coffee shop and a McDonalds restaurant on land just off the A650 near the Paragon Business Park.

Permission for a new roundabout to access the site has already been granted.

A design and access statement submitted with the application said the scheme would create up to 150 jobs during construction and 100 full-time jobs once complete.

The development would also include car parking for up to 259 vehicles.
