IKEA sex attack - woman assaulted on shopping trip

A WOMAN was sexually assaulted as she tried to get back into her car at IKEA.

The 52-year-old victim was returning to her black Vauxhall Corsa after shopping at the store on the Birstall retail park on Wednesday night.

Her attacker got hold of the car door and started to make comments about her legs before he taking photographs of her.

He then reached into the car and touched her legs.

The woman then began sounding her car horn, to alert other shoppers, which made the attacker run away.

The incident took place at 8.15pm near the loading bays in the Ikea

Detectives said the victim suffered a scratch to her leg and was left badly shaken by the attack.

And they are now hunting a man in his fifties. He was about around 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a dark coat and hat.
