It’s hotting up for 121st Emley Show

Stunt bikes and a dog agility team will headline one of the longest-running and biggest agricultural shows in Yorkshire.

Emley Agricultural Show will return for its 121st year on Saturday, August 2, with showground attractions for visitors of all ages.

Essex Dogs Display Team, whose director Roy Dyer has received an International Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in the canine world, will perform agility shows.

And Savage Skills Stunt Bike Display Team will present their Anti Gravity show.

The team, who are the UK’s leading freestyle mountain bike stunt team, with eight world titles and more than 25 British Championship titles, will also run a visitor interactive experience area.

Other attractions include Emley Band, the vintage tractor parade, fairground rides, a Punch and Judy show, family games, and trade, craft and food stalls.

Classes and competitions will also be exhibited through the day including cattle, goats, show jumping, gymkhana, cookery, photography and wood carving.

Last year, around 15,000 visitors passed through the gates and ogranisers are hoping to top that number this year.

The show runs from 11am until 3pm at Moor Lane, directly beneath Emley Moor mast.
