no sooner are the Christmas decorations put away than those good people at Wakefield Music Collective are asking us to think about summer.
And that’s because it’s time to stake your claim for a spot on the bill at this year’s Clarence Park Festival.
The 21st edition of the annual extravaganza held under WMC auspices is planned for its time-honoured spot at the end of July – but in order to be in with a chance of playing then, you need to apply by the end of March.
Applications must include a CD of your latest material, a biography, a photograph if available and a list of past and future gigs. Contact information should include a telephone number, e-mail address and, if applicable, your website.
However, simply sending a link to a Myspace or Facebook site will not be sufficient.
Send your application to Wakefield Music Collective, c/o Voluntary Action Wakefield District, 11 Upper York Street, Wakefield WF1 3LQ.
Summer’s really only around the corner – so best of luck!
