A JOBS scheme is celebrating success after helping 700 people find employment.
The Future Jobs Fund (FJF) project is run by Wakefield Council and partners.
It places unemployed young people, and long-term claimants living in areas of high unemployment, in temporary jobs.
Coun Denise Jeffery, Wakefield Council’s cabinet member for regeneration and economic growth, said: “We are extremely happy that we’ve been able to help 700 young people into employment.
“The Future Jobs Fund is extremely successful in helping people to gain a range of work-based skills, and we want to keep supporting them, to help them find permanent positions, progress their careers and keep up their positive contributions to the local economy.”
