MAY I use this column in a positive way to thank all the people who took the time to assist my wife and myself on Saturday the ninth, when my mother collapsed in the new shopping centre.
I would particularly like to thank the gentleman who must have used half the airtime on his phone to ring the ambulance service, and his wife who waited and gave advice.
The young lady who did all the running about and the two ladies who held the bags. The member of the security staff who are often much criticised who was also very noticeable.
The ambulance staff who arrived very promptly especially for a Saturday afternoon.
The staff at Pinderfields who had the patience of Job when dealing with a totally deaf 99-year-old and very bewildered old lady.
The problem was a sugar imbalance which was soon rectified. I am pleased to say that there was no lasting damage caused, due to the prompt actions of very good Samaritans.
She is now fit and well and as she would say raring to go. Once again many thanks.
