LETTERS - Advice over noise issues

I read with interest your recent news item entitled ‘Neighbours are too loud’.

My own experiecne with the Noise Team has been rather different and less satisfactory.

After seven years of complaints they managed to serve a noise abatement order against a local establishment. This made no difference at all to the noise nuisance team and presumably the notice was ignored by the establishment and noise team. There was a short lived noise reduction 18 months ago following on a feature you published about my noise problem.

It has now taken the intervention of Mary Creagh MP and Coun Peter Box to finally bring the noise under control and there have been no problems for the last six weeks.

Any of your readers who do not get a rapid solution from the Noise Team would be well advised to contact Mrs Creagh and Coun Box.
