I WOULD like to re-iterate we recognise how much Clarke Hall is valued by the people of district and I can assure your readers we will explore every possible avenue open to us to try and ensure that it has a future.
In relation to the Hepworth, we expect the museum to attract 150,000 visitors in its first year, from both Wakefield and further afield. This will be a major boost for the economy, with hotels, restaurants and local businesses all benefiting from what will be an internationally renowned visitor attraction.
We are not oblivious to the difficult economic times but we – and the businesses who have invested in Trinity Walk – are confident it will attract more shoppers, more visitors and more money into the district.
