M1 expected to be cleared in an hour
The M1 is expected to completely opened by 6.15pm, according to Highways England, following a smash this afternoon which left a lorry overturned.
The crash happened between J46 and J45 heading and both carriageways have been shut since before 3pm.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the crash site shortly afterwards, while the other emergency services were also in attendance.
Traffic is still being diverted.
