M1 near Wakefield to be closed overnight
The Highways Agency is carrying out work to upgrade the stretch of road between junction 39 at Durkar and junction 42 at Lofthouse to ease congestion.
The scheme, which is due to be completed by September, will see hard shoulders become permanent lanes during peak times.

Hide AdAs part of the works, the northbound carriageway between junction 39 at Durkar and junction 40 at Flushdyke will be closed overnight on Friday (February 6).
The closure will be in place from 8pm until 6am on Saturday.
