M62 disruption as improvement works get underway

Motorists face delays on the M62 next week as work to improve junction 33 at Ferrybridge gets underway.

The work will be carried out on the roundabout from Monday (February 10) and will involve replacing a number of traffic signs, lights, bollards and electrical equipment that have reached the end of their serviceable life.

During the work there will be various overnight lane closures on parts of the roundabout and slip roads between 8pm and 6am.

Clearly-signed diversion routes will be in place when the roundabout is fully closed.

The scheme is due to be completed by the end of March.

Drivers are asked to plan ahead and allow additional time for their journeys.
