‘Malicious’ caravan fire in Castleford

A blaze which engulfed a caravan and car in Castleford last night (Thursday) is believed to be “malicious”.

Crews from the Castleford and Pontefract fire stations rushed to Fryston Road at 10.30pm.

A caravan there was totally consumed in flames and “ruined” as well as a car being affected by the blaze.

Castleford Fire Station watch manager Darryl Schofield said it was thought the fire was “malicious” and police are following up with enquiries.
