Man rescued from car after M1 crash
A man had to be rescued from his car after a smash on the M1.
A Ford Ka crashed into the central reservation of the motorway, near junction 39, at around 7pm last night (Friday).
Firefighters from Wakefield and Ossett had to stop traffic as they freed the driver from his vehicle.
The man was taken to hospital with what were believed to have been minor injuries.
The motorway was closed for a short period while the rescue operation took place.
