Man robbed in stairwell of town centre flats

The 41-year-old was attacked in a communal staircase of Horsefair flats in the town centre at around 7.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, April 13).

Acting Insp Lee Carlson said two men robbed the victim of his mobile phone and around £60 in cash.

He said: “We are appealing for anybody with any information about this incident to get in touch.

“A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery but we are still seeking a further suspect.”
