Man’s child porn haul

AN Agbrigg man had 4,200 indecent images and movies of children, a court heard.

City Magistrates told Paul Christopher Abson, 33, that his case was too serious for them to deal with and he would be committed to Leeds Crown Court for sentence.

Abson, of Church Road, admitted 22 charges of making indecent images when he appeared at Wakefield Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Prosecutor Jill Seddon said there were in excess of 400 images which were considered to be in the most serious categories of child pornography.

The court heard that nearly 3,000 of them were of the least serious level.

John Nixon, defending, said guilty pleas were entered to all charges.

Abson, who will be sentenced by a judge next month, was bailed on the condition he doesn’t have any unsupervised access to children under 16 years of age.
