Man seriously injured in four-car crash

The incident happened at 5pm yesterday afternoon on Cambridge Street.

An Audi A4, travelling in the direction of Barnsley Road, hit a parked BMW 118d. The BMW and a parked Vauxhall Agile and a parked Volkswagen Caddy also collided.

The Audi went on to hit a building, causing extensive damage.

As a result of the incident a 33-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

The Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team would like to speak with anyone who has information about the incident and in particular the movements of the Audi before the incident.
