Man victim of Christmas Eve robbery in Dewsbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in Dewsbury Market on Christmas Eve.

The 30-year-old victim was at the market in Cloth Hall Street between 7pm and 7.30pm when a man assaulted him, causing him to fall to the floor. The victim later found that his mobile phone was missing.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his late 20s, of stocky build, with short brown hair and slight stubble on the face. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing a white jacket.
