Meeting called over fears about Rams’ housing plan

RESIDENTS opposing plans to build on green belt land on the Kirklees/Wakefield border have called a meeting to have their views heard.

People living in Bywell Close say Dewsbury Rams’ plan to build 200 homes, a 60-bed care home and eight hectares of community sports facilities in Shaw Cross will ruin the views from their properties.

A meeting will be held at Heath Cottage Hotel in Wakefield Road, Dewsbury, at 5pm tomorrow evening.

It will offer a chance for concerned residents to have their questions about the scheme answered by its supporters.
