A CANNABIS farm has been shut down in Normanton.
On Tuesday police found a small amount of plants being grown during a raid in Falmouth Avenue.
The discovery comes only two weeks after 250 plants were found in Oxford Street.
So far this year the Normanton neighbourhood police team (NPT) has found around half a dozen properties growing the illegal drug.
Sgt Kristy Lindley from Normanton NPT said: “We got several bits of information from members of the public about smells of cannabis in one area, but we were not sure which street.
“Intelligence led us to a property in Falmouth Avenue, where officers discovered the plants.”
In April officers found 59 plants being grown in bedrooms at a house on West Lane in Sharlston and a further 17 plants on Queen Elizabeth Drive in Normaton.
And around £5,000-worth of cannabis were found at a Cemetery Road house in January.
