IT weighs five stones, lights up and is adorned with more than 15,000 Swarovski crystals.
Yesterday Lisa-Marie Price walked down the aisle wearing a gown to rival the most extravagant seen on TV show My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.
Lisa-Marie, 16, designed her own dress before having it created by a specialist designer in London.
The bridesmaids’ pink gowns were made by another expert dressmaker based in Liverpool.
Lisa-Marie, of Heath Common Travellers Site, said: “My dress weighs five stones – it’s very heavy.
“It took about an hour to get it on but it’s worth it, I love it.”
Lisa-Marie got engaged to fiance John, 22, of Heath Common Travellers Site, last November.
The couple said ‘I do’ in front of hundreds of friends and family at St Catherine’s Church, on Doncaster Road.
Speaking before the wedding Lisa-Marie said: “Sixteen is young to get married, but in our culture it’s about the average age to get married.”
The couple chose to get married on Lisa-Marie’s mother’s birthday.
Coraleena Price, 40, said: “It makes it more special.”
Proud dad Bobby Price, 42, said: “She’s my middle daughter. Her elder sister Cheeky is already married and her dress was really big too.
“Lisa-Marie looks very nice – it’s going to be a good wedding.”
The bridal party were taken to the church in vintage cars.
Afterwards the couple jetted off to Gran Canaria to enjoy their honeymoon and first holiday as man and wife.
