Motorists across the city will face delays next month when roadworks get underway.
Northern Gas Networks is replacing 1.5km of metal gas mains with new plastic piping in Old Snydale.
To complete the work the company will have to close Church Lane, Old Snydale, for at least three weeks in January.
The work starts on Monday, January 5 and is expected to last until April.
Temporary traffic lights will also be in place on Tithe Barn Street in Horbury while gas mains are replaced.
