An oasis of ale Wakefield Festival of Beer

Wakefield Festival of Beer opens its doors to the public at 5pm today (Friday).

The festival, on Westgate, is open all day tomorrow, with sessions from noon until 4pm and 5pm to 11pm.

It will showcase around 80 beers drawn from local and London breweries. The event has been organised by Sitlington Round Table. They are aiming to raise £10,000 for Wakefield Hospice, children’s brain tumour charity Levi’s Star and the Round Table’s Community Service Fund.

Printing experts Wood Richardson, who are one of the silver package sponsors, have produced all the posters and tickets for the event.
