THE Olympic Torch has arrived at the Hepworth gallery.

Thousands of spectators packed into the city centre as the torch was carried past the town hall, Bull Ring and Wakefield Cathedral precinct.

Harry Crowther, who suffers from a premature ageing disorder, and Jono Lancaster, who has a facial disfigurement condition, carried the Olympic flame through the city centre which was at a standstill.

The torch will then head off towards Castleford, Pontefract and Ackworth for the final leg of its journey through the district.
