These are the roads that Wakefield Council will be widening and closing next week
Wakefield Council published its plans for road improvements over the next week.
Between Monday, August 10 and Friday, August 14 work will take place to fix potholes, create new cycleways, and widen roads.
The works include:
-Emergency teams will respond to safety defects, missing/broken gully lids, and damaged ironwork
-Gully cleansing teams will be carrying out priority works and respond to complaints
-Public rights of way team will carry out maintenance works as required
-New footway/cycleway works are ongoing at Park Road, Pontefract, between Park Lane and Princes Drive
-Road closures will be in place at Skinner Lane, Pontefract, and Spawd Bone Lane, Knottingley, while drainage work is carried out. Diversion routes will be in place
-An area of block paving on the Market Place precinct in Ossett will be relayed
