The People’s Republic of Poetry tour will visit 19 different venues from Colchester to Whitby this autumn, including a hometown show at Unity Hall on November 26.

The show invites budding poets to get involved in a daytime workshop before taking part in the evening performance. Mr Dartford and Mr Abbott will also be joined by a host of acclaimed spoken word artists including Luke Wright, Martin Figura, Julia Bird, Kate Fox, Zena Edwards and Helen Mort.

Several of those poets gathered at Rickaro Books, on High Street, Horbury recently to film a TouTube clip about their work.
