Ossett Town Football Club has hosted its first ever Festival of Food, Drink and Craft.
The club’s stadium on prospect Road was transformed last weekend to include a ‘Yorkshire Finest’ food and craft market selling goods including jewellery, cheeses, pies and up-cycled products.
A beer and ale festival took place in the stadium bar, with live musi and 18 real ales as well as traditional cider.
The Brazen, Round Window, Red Light Revival and Tom Storey performed to visitors over the three-day festival weekend, which kicked off at 5pm last Friday.
There was also family entertainment including zorbing, a quad bike track and bouncy castles.
Jon Scargill, commercial manager ay Ossett Town FC said: “Overall our first festival went really well, despite the poor traders suffering through the cold outside.
“The focus of the market was all things Yorkshire and we showcased some of the finest produce in the county.
“Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and go home happy and The Brazen stole the show on Friday night.
“We are hoping to make it an annual event and hopefully hold it in the summertime in the future.
“The festival was all to raise funds to invest back into the club’s facilities for future players.
“We need to maintain a safe, fun and educational environment for the district’s kids and adults to play football.”
