A peace march will be held in Wakefield this weekend.
The Wakefield City Strong event will take place on Sunday, June 23.
Organisers have invited people to gather at Thornes Park before making their way to the city centre and then on to Lightwaves leisure centre.
The event will also raise money for charities including Help For Heroes.
Bethany Mongan, organiser, said: “The march is part of a national movement to bring communities together after the killing of Drummer Lee Rigby in Woolwich.
“It has been organised to show a stand against terrorism and extremism. We are not aligned to any political party. It is to bring communities together and raise money for charities.”
Marchers will meet at Thornes Park at 11.40am before heading to the city centre for 1pm when they will join in a national minute of silence. A family fun day will be held in Lightwaves afterwards.
