Free school meals, benefits and licensing in Wakefield: Temporary closure of council services - here's who to contact and how
Customer service areas in Wakefield One and County Hall will be closed from 6pm today (Tuesday), as Wakefield Council prioritises resources in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
The customer service areas in Wakefield One and Wakefield County Hall will be closed but the council can still be contacted in a number of ways.
Andrew Balchin, Wakefield Council's Acting Chief Executive, said: "We are prioritising our resources where they are needed the most to enable us to continue providing you with the support you need.
"That is why we have had to make the difficult decision to close customer service points in our buildings.
"We understand that this will have an impact on those that use these facilities, but would like to reassure residents that you will be able to access the same support, but just in a different way.
“The staff are being redirected to help support our other customer services functions so you can also still contact the council by calling 0345 8 506 506, and we can continue to support you.”
